Old Market Guitarworks builds its extraordinary guitar bodies using primarily old growth wood sourced from nineteenth century buildings; buildings used for commerce, manufacturing, and warehousing.
Our body wood has–in most cases–experienced a century or more of vibrations and reverberations. At the cellular level, the saps have crystalized, turning even the softest pine or fir into a hardwood. This resulting hardness makes for a more resonant body with longer sustain. It’s wood that enhances the voice of guitar pickups, bringing out the best sound from your pickups of choice.
